NOTE: Students will need wi-fi/internet access, smart-phones or iPads with a scanning app to be able to do this activity. We use Red Laser with our iPads, but there are many other QR code/barcode scanners available to use.
Print the following QR Scanner Codes, and place them around the room. The students will get up and scan each code. Kids like to move around; this gives them the opportunity! The codes will take them to different websites to learn more about el Dia de los Muertos.
Included in this download: 1 editable worksheet, 4 printable QR codes (barcodes), THE WORKSHEET IS IN ENGLISH.
Great for Spanish 1, 2, 3, or any class that might like to learn a bit more culture about the holiday.
Cultural items in assignment include: sugar skulls, skeletons, altar of the dead and significance, Aztecs, Spanish influence, and comparing/contrasting Dia de los Muertos with Halloween.
The questions are in English, so can be used with all levels of Spanish for a bit of holiday culture!
