If you are teaching Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham, this map assignment will help students picture relative locations for the events in the story.
The download has a list of 26 locations to be filled in on a blank map of Great Britain. While you can find online guides that do something similar, students will learn more if they have to interact with the map and write the locations themselves. I know this from college when I had to memorize all of Western and Eastern Europe AND Asia--all of the countries, rivers, and mountain ranges. And I did it because I wrote it all myself.
If you don't know this novel, it's kind of a zombie apocalypse story with plants instead of zombies.
The preview shows a color map, but I saved it as grayscale.
