What educators are saying

This activity was wonderful! It got my students talking, using the vocabulary we'd learned in the unit. Also, test scores went up significantly after using this resource as a review.

Description

This review circuit includes everything you will need to conduct a challenging review of concepts relating to the cause of day/night, seasons, moon phases, and tides. Simply display the provided posters around your classroom or in a small hallway in a random order, explain to students how to conduct the review, and that's it! You are free to facilitate and assist students, if necessary.

Students begin at any poster and answer questions as they travel from poster to poster. If they end up at the same poster they started at (and have visited all 26 posters), they know they got all of the answers correct.

I have included an optional student answer sheet as well as a teacher answer key.

Note: I used this product for one of my STAAR Review sessions and it really challenged all of the students. My Pre-AP students thought it was a great review of major concepts they needed to know (and most completed it without needing help), while some of the basic science students needed a little more help. I was free to move around the room assisting those who needed some additional guidance. Overall, it was a great activity, everyone was engaged, and everyone left the session confident in their basic knowledge of these often difficult concepts.
