This is a simulated conversation speaking test (or practice activity). Students must imagine that they are on vacation in Spain, and they go to El Corte Inglés to buy new clothes. They have a conversation with a salesperson in the store. (The part of the salesperson can be read or pre-recorded by you, or if you can manage it, a native speaker.) Students listen to what the salesperson says and have a set time (which you can determine) to respond appropriately.
If you buy, you would receive both the script (what the salesperson says), and the outline for the students (what they would see to guide them during the test). You could administer the test in a variety of ways, but students could easily respond using their iPhones or iPods (via Voice Memos) while you read or play the recording of the Spanish student part of the script.
I do this with my Spanish 2 students and it is appropriate for their ability levels. This is modeled after a task that students must perform on the AP Spanish Language exam!
We use Descubre in our school and so the test is based off the vocabulary for Lesson 6 (De Compras), but as long as you are working with that theme, any specific vocabulary could be easily modified to fit your particular needs!
