This pack contains two games for your Spanish immersion classroom. There are 30 cards included in each game. One uses singular nouns and the other uses plural nouns
I designed this game so students could practice correctly asking the question “De quién es…” or “De quién son…” as well as responding correctly with “Es mío,” “Es mía,” “Son míos,” or “Son mías” depending on the article of the noun. I chose school-related vocabulary since those are items that students actually find in the classroom and need to ask around to locate the owner. This game is also great to practice attentive listening!
To play this game, students should be familiar with the vocabulary words on the cards, which are mostly familiar classroom supplies and student belongings. You also need to choose either the singular or plural version of the game.
Each student stands in a circle and receives 1-2 cards, depending on the size of the class.
One student starts by reading the question on the bottom of his/her card (¿De quién es…?) The other students need to look at the top of their cards to see if they have the object. If they do, they should say “Es mío” or “Es mía,” and then read the question on the bottom of their card.
Play continues until all the cards have been called.
