Great lesson to teach kids how to think critically! This Power Point presentation examines DeBono's "Six Hats of Thinking" in order to teach students how to properly "think" about a problem or important decision. By using the six hats, students can rationalize between the facts, positives, negatives, feelings, outside the box suggestions, and regulate the differences between these different methods of thinking.
Included at the end of the presentation is the popular "Heinz's Dilemma" which features a short passage about a man who steals an important drug for his wife who is dying of cancer. The students are to use all six of their "thinking hats" to come up with a decision of whether or not Heinz should have committed the crime.
