PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Put those boring words to rest and never see them again with this Dead Word graveyard!

These can be used for a great writing station or bulletin board for students to refer to when revising their writing. You'll never have to see those boring words in your students writing ANYMORE!

After discussing the importance of varied word choice in writing, display each word grave on your wall along with the replacement word cards underneath each card. There are two sizes for each word grave - maybe you could focus on one grave each week!

Suggested teaching strategy: Before a writing piece is turned in, have your students highlight any words they have that are in the "Dead Word Graveyard" and change their highlighted words with a replacement word from from the wall. Make it a competition to see who can have the most "dead words" changed in their writing!
