This PowerPoint is to help children handle the anger of others with confidence and without fear. Children are going to meltdown in a classroom, and this can be very unsettling for the other students and they may unknowingly make things worse while trying to "fix" the problem. This slide show covers the difference between fair and unfair anger, what to do and what not to do when someone else is angry and what to do if the person who is angry is out of control. It contains videos describing what the angry person feels like on the inside, and how to recognize it on the outside. There are also videos on the fight or flight response and how this instinct can affect the angry person. There is a story giving tips of what to do when you are angry. This story is on YouTube, and you have to click a link that directs you to YouTube to watch it because of the creators wishes, but all the other videos play just fine. I included a like to all the videos on the last slide just in case you run into trouble. I used it in a class with multiple students who have uncontrolled rage from time to time to help the class understand the student better, understand what they should and shouldn't do, and to feel safe as well as in control.
