This packet contains a total of 36 vocabulary words that are typically used by young children. Many of the words are on the MacArthur-Bates Communicative Inventory. A data collection sheet is included.
Option 1: Have child label and match small pictures to the toys on the shelves. (You can use clear velcro dots).
Option 2: Place small pictures on the matching toys on the shelves. (You can use clear velcro dots). The child names a picture, removes it from the shelf, and collects it in a little sack or a tiny stocking. A carrier phrase such as “I want a ____ .” can be used.
Option 3: Print picture cards in grayscale and cut. Child chooses, labels and glues a toy to the ‘Dear Santa’ letter (p. 11). A carrier phrase such as "Dear Santa, I want a ____ .” can be used.
Reinforce correct use of speech sounds.
