What educators are saying

I have used this with my class during my letter writing unit at Christmas time. They loved it and it was easy to use.

Description

If you need an easy and fun holiday filler, this unit will be the perfect addition to your classroom this holiday season! During this writing unit, the students will brush up on their persuasive writing skills as they learn that they may not be on the nice list this year. This lesson begins by giving each student a lump of coal (Rice Krispie Treat) from Santa! Then, the students use their charm to persuade Santa to place their name back onto the nice list. This unit includes brainstorming maps for each student. It also includes differentiated publishing paper and directions for students to create their very own lump of coal to display with their writing. This is sure to be a class favorite and will go perfectly with any holiday unit. Take a look at the preview to see inside the unit.

Happy Holidays! :)
