Written by a professional children's yoga teacher, this lesson is the perfect zoo-themed yoga and creative movement companion to the classic book "Dear Zoo" By Rod Campbell, and is appropriate for even the youngest of students. (Pre-K- 1st Grade).
Students will love retelling this sweet story through fun poses of their favorite animals:
Each lesson plan is KID TESTED, and includes step-by-step instructions for the poses/exercises, tons of large pictures and examples of the movements in action, and a list of additional resources (including books, props, songs, and printables to supplement the lesson plan). BONUS: includes printable picture cards for each of the poses in the lesson. Work great for brain breaks or reading circle activities!
All lessons include tips on working with various ages and abilities (this specific plan is tailored to Preschoolers-1st Grade), giving options of difficulty for poses and allowing instructors to modify for their specific students.
The lesson plans do not promote or include any spiritual/religious elements.
