Product Description
This lesson is a good culminating activity after studying the death penalty. I usually have students do their own research on various pros and cons of the death penalty, making sure they look at both sides and require them to find facts, statistics and arguments that support both sides of the death penalty debate. After they have finished this, I assign the student handout below as homework and briefly explain what a fishbowl is and how it will go the next day. Attached are the directions for the fishbowl, questions for the students to answer in preparation for it and a rubric for grading the students after the fishbowl.
