Are you attempting to integrate debate into your classroom? I have revised this document many times and this works! Use this document with procon.org and you have a biweekly or weekly exercise that instills in your students critical thinking, academic language, a respect for different viewpoints, the value of research and evidence, and a process how to pursue truth.
How to use this? Follow the step-by-step guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact me. You can use integrate kinesthetic or group-learning into this as well. For example, assign each corner of your room a position, and ask students to move to the corner that aligns with their view. Also, this is a great exercise to encourage open-mindedness by highlighting students that changed their mind after doing the research.
