Just like fill in the blank stories when we were young, but focusing on one skill at a time PLUS practicing reading skills!
Just like Madlibs!! There is no wrong answers, just creativity!! Lists of possible answers included if the kids need inspiration! :)
It's an easy way to use creativity while practicing reading and language skills!!
There are Fill in the Blank stories that have blanks for ADJECTIVES, VERBS, NOUNS, and CONJUNCTIONS.
Introduce in whole group and read each sentence together. I like to project it and fill it in together until they get the hang of what they're doing.
What would make sense in the blank? If the category is ADJECTIVES, then think up adjectives that would make sense.
This is a simple, fun, and creative way to get reading and thinking about what makes sense in a story.
I have included a small poster with some examples of adjectives, verbs, nouns, and conjunctions to give some hints of what would work in the story.
Look at the preview for a better idea of what you will be getting!
