Fine motor skills are essential for preschoolers to develop. These activities are seasonally themed and have children working on these fine motor skills in a variety of ways including tracing, cutting, clipping, and using tongs.
-Strand the Lights: make a line to all the light bulbs on the tree to connect them
-Match the Colors: use poms to match the colors on the picture mats
-Colored Cards-attach cards to pipe cleaners and use pony beads to string and sort
-Tracing Cards: use dry erase markers to trace the lines on the cards
-Pom Alphabet Cards: use poms to make the capital and lowercase letters
-Count the Cookies: use mini erasers or other small manipulatives to count onto the cookie trays
-Count the Ornaments: count the ornaments on the tree and make the number with building bricks
-Light Strands-use different colored poms and tongs to match onto the light strands or use play dough
-Cutting Strips: cut along the lines
-Hole Punching: use hole punchers to punch out the circles on the card
