This December Holiday packet includes literacy and math activities for celebrating various holidays. There are Christmas graphics; there are also graphics that will work for any December Holiday celebration; there are graphics like gifts and holiday cupcakes.

• The following is included: Holiday pre-writing practice, Holiday do-a-dot letters, Holiday 1 to 1 correspondence counting cards, and Holiday roll a number
• Holiday pre-writing cards come in different sizes with variations of pre-writing marks
• Blank cards also included
• Pre-writing cards are also good fine motor practice
• Holiday do-a-dot letters should be placed in literacy center alongside washable dot markers
• For do-a-dot letters, allow children to dot letters with markers
• Do-a-dot helps with fine motor skills in addition to letter recognition
• Holiday 1 to 1 correspondence have number and number words, unicorn and Holiday cupcakes
• For Holiday 1 to 1, give children foam stickers to represent candies, or give them actual candies
• Children will decorate the unicorn's Holiday cupcakes with candies, touch the candy stickers or candies, count aloud as they touch each sticker or candy
• For Holiday roll a number, allow children to roll dice
• Allow children to count the dots on dice
• Allow children to decorate the cupcakes with foam candy stickers or real candies
• If children roll a four, they should put four stickers or four candies on the cupcake.

Goal P-LIT 3. Child identifies letters of the alphabet and produces correct sounds associated with letters.

Perceptual, Motor, and Physical Development: Fine Motor

Goal P-PMP 3. Child demonstrates increasing control, strength, and coordination of small muscles.

Mathematics Development: Counting and Cardinality

Goal P-MATH 1. Child knows number names and the count sequence.

Goal P-MATH 2. Child recognizes the number of objects in a small set.

Goal P-MATH 3. Child understands the relationship between numbers and quantities.
