Product Description
December is always a fun, exciting, and hectic time of the year! It always finds a way of sneaking up on us, so it never hurts to have your bag of tricks ready to go with some fun learning activities that your kiddos will really enjoy. This pack includes four math center activities that are December-themed. Each activity includes a set of colorful activity cards and corresponding worksheets, along with an "I Can" poster (see the preview for all of the "I Can" posters and worksheets). This pack was made with colorful graphics and cute fun fonts that all can enjoy. Each set provides students with the opportunity for hands on learning and reinforcement of concepts, along with corresponding worksheets. They would be perfect for small group activities, such as math centers, or even work for early finishers. The activities are as follows, and each has been aligned the common core standards:

1. Count the Room
(Standards: K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5)
This activity includes 12 count-the-room pictures to be hung around the room. Students find the cards around the room and record the number of objects on each card onto their corresponding recording sheet. There are three options for recording sheets: 1) write the number; 2) fill in the ten frame; and 3) write the number word to complete the rebus sentences.

(Standards: K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.2, K.OA.A.5)
Students use picture cards to solve addition problems with sums up to five. This activity includes 12 picture cards that students utilize to complete addition problems and record their answers onto an answer sheet. This activity also includes an extension worksheet in which students are given addition problems and they draw a pictures to solve them.

3. Snowflake Size-Up: A Measuring Activity
(Standards: K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5, K.MD.A.1, K.MD.B.3)
Students use measuring strips (a snowflake measuring strip) to measure the lengths of objects on a set of 12 picture cards. This activity includes two worksheets. The first one is used to record the measurements, and the second one gives students the opportunity to sort the objects they measured by their lengths.

4. A Pair of Gingerbread Friends {A Number Matching Sort}
(Standards: K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5, K.NBT.A.1)
This activity includes a set of number cards (0-20) and ten frame cards (0-20). Students match the number card to its ten frame card. Also included are two corresponding worksheets. On the first, students are given a number and they fill in a ten frame to show that number. On the second sheet, students cut and glue number words and ten frames to match their number.

I hope you find these activities useful in your classroom and that your students enjoy them. Please let me know if you have any questions and I would love to hear your feedback. Happy December!
