Counting Station: How Far to 20? (CC.B.5)
In this activity, students roll a die and cover and board with that number. Student use math talk cards to state how many they have and how far they have to go to get to 20.
Counting Station: Number Puzzles (CC.A.1, CC.A2)
In this activity students put together multiple puzzles in a variety of counting sequences.
Counting Station:Before and After Up (CC.A.1, CC.A.2)
In this activity students can tell what number comes in a sequence of three numbers.
Number Station: Bump! (CC.B.5)
In this activity, students play a number recognition version of Bump! Using different sets of numbers.
Number Station: Place Value Line Up (K.NBT.A.1)
Students match puzzle pieces for numbers 11-20 in representations of words, ten frames and numbers.
Addition Station: Board Game (OA1)
In this game students move a counter along the game board adding the sets or answer the number sentence.
Addition Station: On and Off the Board (K.OA.A.1)
In this activity, students count the number of counters that land on and off the board. Students record their work on number bonds.
Addition Station: Number Bonds (K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.3)
In this activity, students choose a number bond card. They use manipulatives to show the number combination- decomposing the whole into two parts.
Measurement Station: Measure It (K.MD.A.1)
In this activity, students use an elf “ruler” to measure the height and length of different pictures.
Measurement Station: Sweet Comparisons (K.MD.A.2)
In this activity, students can choose from 3 different measuring tools- a peppermint, a candy cane, or a gingerbread. Students are to find things that are longer or shorter than that particular measuring tool.
Measurement Station: Taller, Shorter or the Same (K.MD.A.2)
Students read a class book comparing common holiday items. Students can color and read their own individual copies of the book.
Spin and Graph (K.G.A.1)
In this activity, students spin a 3D shapes in the environment spinner. Students tally mark how many times the spinner lands on each shape. After 10 spins, students graph the shape.
Pattern Station: Task Cards
In this activity, students use task cards to create patterns with different themed pictures.
