Santa is tired of his old hot chocolate...students can use their imagination and creativity to improve upon his existing recipe. This fun pack encourages students of the primary grades to use their creativity while writing about their thoughts.
The first set of pages is a graphic organizer that can be used as a pre-writing activity. Children can draw pictures to show the steps that they would use to make hot chocolate. Then, they are encouraged to think of an item that they could add to their hot chocolate to make it better.
The next set of pages is a repeat of the first two (each page comes in color and in black and white). This page encourages kids to write about the steps they would take to make hot chocolate. Then as above, they are encouraged to think of an item that they could add to their hot chocolate.
For kids who are more advanced writers, you can give the next couple of pages to your students. They are graphic organizers where your students can record what they would do in a sequential order. At the bottom, students are encouraged to write adjectives that they can use in their final draft. This set is also repeated with lines in the writing area for those who need them.
The last couple of pages included in this packet are provided for students to write their final draft of their story.
