December sight word game called "Elf". This is a high frequency sight word game that uses Fountas and Pinnell (BAS assessement) high frequency word lists.
The word lists that are included are the 25 word list, 50 word list, and 100 word list from Fountas and Pinnell. Great to use if you assess reading using the BAS.
Play with partners or in a small group. I have the cards labeled so if you only want to work on a certain word list it will be easy to sort.
Included in this set is a recording sheet so students can write some of the words they won the sheet.
To play- One player picks a card from the pile. If read correctly, they keep the card. If read incorrectly, the card goes back in the pile. Then it is the next players turn. If a "Elf" card is drawn that player needs to put all their cards back in the pile. Game is over once all cards are won. The player with the most card wins!
Enjoy this fun interactive sight word game that is for sure to keep your students engaged!
