December Writing Choice Menu
Please visit my blog post about how I use these writing choice menus daily in my literacy center routine: www.igniteapassionforlearning.blogspot.com
Included in this resource:
December choice menu, a December cover page for a writing journal, a page for students to write ideas for free choice topics for December, and primary writing paper with a picture box. I use all of these pages to create my own monthly journals.
The writing choice menu is numbered and has a picture with each choice to help support younger readers. On the writing paper that is included there is a space for students to record the number of the choice they selected. This helps me know which prompt they were writing about. These writing choice menus are amazing! I love giving students ideas and they love getting to choose what to write about each day. They have plenty of ideas, but feel empowered because they get to choose. My students simply put an X on the box when they finish writing about the topic.
This December Choice Menu revolves around a Christmas theme. I am creating a December Choice Menu that is more of a winter theme than a Christmas theme for those of you would prefer that.
I hope your students enjoy these!
