PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS before purchasing. I do not want you to be dissatisfied.
It's such a beautiful day in the fall, walking out the door and enjoying so many bright colors. How, exactly, do those leaves turn such brilliant colors? This package investigates this question and many more. This package is a smaller version of the larger K-4 package, and is targeted toward students from 2nd through 4th grade. It is designed to encourage research skills, including KWL charts, along with a list of suggested guiding questions the teacher can use to show students what is expected in their research. It also includes book and website report forms. To facilitate skills building, there are activities in Math, Reading, and Writing. Included for math are fractions pages, skip counting pages (to build on multiplication skills), and a multiplication activity. In writing, there are adjectives, verbs, and nouns (both common and proper) activities. There are also word puzzles and scrambles for spelling. To encourage poetry, an example of a poem is included, as well as a poem form so students can write a similar poem on their own. For geography there is a map for students to use research skills in labeling and coloring.
I have added Lesson Plan IDEAS (many of which have materials I have also added, but some of the materials are not available in this package).
I have also added experiments and forms that encourage your students to observe, form hypothesis, and make their own conclusions.
Answer Keys are included with the experiments.
