Challenge your students to order decimals correctly using this engaging, collaborative activity. All you need are yarns and clothespins! Students will work in groups to order the decimals from least to greatest, or greatest to least. Make it competitive - the first team to finish wins!
Helpful hints are included with the cards to assist with classroom management. Two sets of cards are included - begin with cards from the tenths and hundredths place, and then move to cards up to the thousandths place. Mix up all of the cards for an even greater challenge! Can be a great review for upper grades or an intervention for struggling students. Use it for enrichment in the younger grades. Also included is a place value comparison chart for struggling students - it scaffolds students in lining up the numbers so that they can compare easily. Finally, test your students understanding with the assessment, which includes an answer key!
