Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to get your pre-calculus or trigonometry students practice converting between decimal degrees and degrees, minutes, seconds (DMS)? This activity includes 16 questions designed to help your students master converting decimal degree measures into degree-minute-second form, and vice versa.
Start the activity by having students convert each measure on their student activity sheet. Once they have completed all the conversions, learners will look for their answers in the measure search grid. Just like in a normal word search, measures can be written horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and they can appear forwards or backward.
This no-prep resource includes directions, a two-page student worksheet, a measure search grid for students to locate their answers in, and a completely worked out answer key. Go on, check out the preview to get a look at EVERY SINGLE QUESTION in this activity!
