Goal:
This activity helps students see the relationship between division with manipulatives, area models, partial quotients and the standard division algorithm using three- and four-digit dividends and one digit divisors.
Includes SEVEN student sheets and teacher keys plus TWO blank templates.
These worksheets reinforce decimal operations of multiplication, addition and subtraction.
Use whole group, small group, or in centers after modeling.
Your students will understand the concept of decimal division with these activities!

Teacher Preparation:
Print the mats on cardstock and laminate.
Print worksheets on regular white paper.
Print teacher keys in color.

Directions:
Estimate the quotient.
Model and solve the division problem using an area model.
Solve the problem using partial quotients.
Solve the problem using a standard algorithm.
