ACTIVITY 1- DECIMAL MATCH- HAVE STUDENTS READ THE DECIMAL AND MATCH
THE DECIMAL WITH THE PICTORIAL MODEL
ACTIVITY 2- DECIMAL CONCENTRATION- STUDENTS WORK IN PAIRS. TURN ALL OF
THE CARDS FACE DOWN. STUDENTS TAKE TURNS TRYING TO MAKE A MATCH.
PLAYER WITH THE MOST MATCHES AT THE END IS THE WINNER!
ACTIVITY 3- DECIMAL BIG BATTLE- SHUFFLE THE CARDS. DIVIDE THEM EQUALLY
BETWEEN THE TWO PLAYERS. AT THE SAME TIME, STUDENTS TURN OVER THEIR
TOP CARD. THE PLAYER WITH THE LARGEST NUMBER WINS THE ROUND AND KEEPS
THE CARDS. CONTINUE UNTIL THERE ARE NO MORE CARDS IN THE MIDDLE.
ACTIVITY 4- DECIMAL BABY BATTLE- SHUFFLE THE CARDS. DIVIDE THEM EQUALLY
BETWEEN THE TWO PLAYERS. AT THE SAME TIME, STUDENTS TURN OVER THEIR
TOP CARD. THE PLAYER WITH THE SMALLEST NUMBER WINS THE ROUND AND KEEPS

PLAYER ONE ROLLS THE DIE AND DRAWS THAT NUMBER OF CARDS. THEY MUST NOW
PUT THE CARDS IN ORDER FROM LEAST TO GREATEST OR GREATEST TO LEAST
PLAYER 2 CHECKS PLAYER 1
FOR ACCURACY THEN TAKES THEIR TURN. THERE IS A BRAIN PAGE INCLUDED!
ACTIVITY 6- DECIMAL ADD ‘EM- PLAYERS WILL NEED A DIE. STACK THE CARDS AND
PLACE THEM FACE DOWN ON THE TABLE.
PLAYER ONE ROLLS THE DIE, DRAWS THAT NUMBER OF CARDS AND ADDS THEM UP.
PLAYER 2 DOES THE SAME. ONCE BOTH HAVE ADDED PLAYERS COMPARE THEIR SUMS.
