A set of four differentiated task cards to help your students practice multiplying a decimal number by a decimal number, for example 0.4 X 0.8, by using a model. Task 1 has step by step scaffolded directions. Task 2 requires students to complete the model without those scaffolds. Tasks 3 and 4 require students to solve the problem using more than one strategy, explain their steps, analyze their work and look for patterns. There are multiples on each page for easy printing. These task cards can compliment 5th Grade GoMath Chapter 4 (Lesson 6) or they can stand alone. Great for an observation! Enjoy!
