This product has a total of 50 pages. There is a teacher activity guide, teacher answer key, student activity sheets, and supplemental page.
The goal of this packet is to address each standard in its entirety. Many standards have several supporting concepts that speak to the overall standard. To that end there may be more than one activity set under one standard. For instance, NBT 7 is associated with multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting decimals. To that end students have 3 different activity sheets for that one standard.
These activity pages are set up in a unique way. Each activity set is divided into 4 parts. Students start out by completing something similar to a KWL chart.
Part 1: Students work a problem under the “Know” section. The “Know” section gives students a chance to answer only what they know about the math problem presented. Under the “Want/Need to Know” students notate what they want to know or what they do not understand about problem.
Part 2: As a whole class the teacher works two problems.
Part 3: Students work independently or in pairs to complete 6 problems relevant to the standard. Students can use the examples from part 2 to help effectively complete this section.
Part 4: Students work independently to complete the “Learned” section. Students are asked to write what they learned. Students also complete one math problem similar to the “Know” problem.
