Here is a fun and engaging way to practice matching, ordering, and comparing decimals in word and standard form. These decimal cards can be used in several ways.
Have students match the word form cards to standard form cards. They can play a memory type of game to look for pairs.
Have students put the cards in order from least to greatest or greatest to least. You can put a huge number line (from -1 to 5) on a table with painter's tape nd have the studens place the cards on the number line.
Students can use the cards to play a war type game where they try to win the cards by having the card with the greatest value. Try the "anti-war" game where students try to get the card with the lowest value!
