This packet include 4 sets of task cards covering common core standards for numbers in base ten with decimals. Students will analyze the value of decimal numbers, write numbers in standard, written, and expanded form with powers of ten and exponents. Students will compare and contrast decimals and apply mental math skills. If you are using Math Talk in your classroom the task cards and journal activity cards can be used to launch discussions. You can copy the journal activity cards for students to write out explanations of their mathematical thinking.
