Transitioning units from fractions to decimals? Students having trouble reading decimals and relating them to fractions?
These cards are perfect to use during stations or as review. Give each student a fraction and have them find their decimal partner. Or, give each student a decimal card and have them find their fraction card.
I played this game by giving each student two "un-matching" cards. They had to trade with other students to find their match to their card. So if a student has 4.8 in decimal form, then they have to trade cards in order to find 4.8 in fraction form.
This is an easy, quick activity to get kids up and moving while enhancing their understanding of the fraction and decimal relationships.
There are 32 cards for 18 matching sets.
