Here are 20 task cards that will provide great practice toward mastery of CCSS 4.MD.2 (as well as test prep) while students work to solve decimal problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Each task card also includes "Extended Thinking" scenarios that will extend and enrich the practice some students need to meet an extra challenge! (40 problems in all)
A printable student answer document is also provided for accountability for those students needing a visual piece to keep them accountable for the work you expect them to complete during those less structured settings such as centers or small group learning labs.
A teacher friendly answer key is also included for convenience.
This resource is an excellent activity for math centers, small collaborate learning groups, projected on whiteboards, or as morning warm-ups when students enter the classroom (transitions times, too!). They can also be used as great learning engagements for early finishers.
Proof of student work on answer documents will provide the work examples you need for AIPs, IEPs, Math portfolios, benchmark records, etc. These are also authentic pieces of work to include when speaking with parents during conference time.
You can never have too many of these kinds of activities as students become more and more proficient throughout the year!
