This product is a vocabulary exercise using a power point format to teach the meaning of 10 key words in the Declaration of Independence. Its words were chosen carefully by the authors to convey to the king, exactly how they felt and what they believed to be just. They did not want the king to misunderstand their intentions.
The students are provided with the copy of the introduction of the Declaration of Independence within the presentation. The vocabulary words in question are underlined, then included in the list of 10 on a separate slide. Each slide then, contains the vocabulary word and its common definition. I have also included at the bottom of each slide suggestions on other words that could have been used as well.
The goal is to help the students understand the words highlighted so that when asked, they can write their own version of the introduction. Sometimes vocabulary reviews can be a little stiff, so I have highly animated each of the 17 slides. They are also editable so you can feel free to adjust these slides as you need to.
Good luck and have fun with the presentation!
This is one of many presentations I have in my store on ……… Establishing the United States Government.
