PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this interactive 60 minute lesson plan, you will receive three custom worksheets, a lesson plan, and a PowerPoint to help students answer the following questions:
o How can the foundation of the American democracy be seen as an illustration of the Enlightenment philosophy
o Analyze how John Locke and Rousseau influenced the writing of the Declaration of Independence?
o What are three purposes of the Declaration of Independence?

This lesson provides the teacher with a mini lesson, individual student activity,and group activity. Students break up into different groups and read the handouts attached to the lesson. They will be required to complete a variety of tasks related one that includes retelling of what they read in a creative way.
