This three-level decodable CVC fluency and sequencing product is perfect for independent center work, group work, and/or guided reading. The activities in this product help to develop decoding skills, fluency, sequencing, and aide in retelling a story. This product includes 16 passages for each level (48 total). Students read the decodable sentences then sequence the events by putting together the puzzles. There are three levels included for your students:
1: Easier (I use these for my approaching level group): shorter and easier to decode so that students do not get frustrated. Students sequence two events. Includes some high-frequency words (the, can, you, has, go, to). I love having students reread these passages several times and then read to a partner and share or work together to sequence.
2: Middle: includes 3-4 sentences with decodable CVC words. Students sequence three events. Includes Kindergarten-level high-frequency words.
3: Advanced: paragraphs with multiple sentences. Includes decodable three and four sound CVC words, as well as many high-frequency words. To push my students further during guided reading, I have them write their own silly sentence for each passage and draw a picture!
There three different versions included for each level
-Version One is in full color. I suggest printing them and laminating or printing on cardstock for durability. I leave the colored versions at my centers for students to use throughout the year. It is always a hit at centers!
-Version two is in black and white. The puzzle sequencing events are in order until you cut them out. Students love to color them!
-Version three is in black and white. The puzzle sequencing events are out of order for students to cut out. Students love to color them!
This product is also ideal for interactive notebooks!
I use this product for my Kinder's, but it is also appropriate for first graders or second graders who need some extra practice (especially the middle and advanced versions!)
