Decodable Passages VIP Pass

This Decodable Passages VIP Pass is a collection of more than 200 highly decodable passages with controlled text that are aligned to the Science of Reading research. These decodable passages are the perfect tool to help your students develop strong foundational reading skills. 

These decodable passages follow a research-based, systematic scope and sequence (see Preview to view the scope and sequence and release dates). We carefully select each and every word to ensure that students are only exposed to target phonics skill words, previously taught phonics skill words, and high frequency words. 

Here is what is included for each phonics skill sheet:

• mouth motion photographs to show students how to form their mouths when practicing the focus sound-spelling
• highly decodable passages that only includes the target phonics skill + previously taught phonics skills + high frequency words
• a section for students to highlight words from the text with the focus sound-spelling
• a section for students to draw a picture that matches the text
• comprehension questions for students to answer
