Decodable Reader using short a.
When teaching my dyslexic kids how to read, I became frustrated with how few options there were of TRULY decodable readers. So to give them additional practice, I decided to create my own readers that follow the progression of rules that they have learned from our reading program.
Decodable Reader = a story with words utilizing only the phonograms, rules and sight words that the student has been taught so that no guessing is necessary.
