Product Description:

These low-prep, decodable books are perfect for Kindergarten and First Grade readers. Teaching Intervention or English language learners? These engaging phonics resources are an effective reading intervention tool. This resource includes lesson plans and activities that help emergent readers blend words containing glued (or welded) sounds using a technique known as successive (or continuous) blending.

Our detailed lesson plans are aligned with the Science of Reading and follow a structured literacy format that includes phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The materials are designed to help teachers explicitly guide students to develop the skills and habits of capable readers. These engaging decodable texts provide emergent and struggling readers with multiple opportunities to apply their phonics knowledge to connected text and build independence. Also, each book offers an integrated comprehension component.

This resource is perfect for guided reading instruction, strategy lessons, and/or reading intervention. Once books have been introduced, students can also enjoy them during independent reading time or take them home for even more practice!
