I use these cards with my toddler/preschooler to introduce and practice decoding and spelling words! He loves using various manipulative letters to fill in the blanks. You can also laminate these and use a dry erase marker to write in the letters.
To prepare these, I print, fold in half (image side out) and then laminate. This way you have a two sided card - one side with the word to guide little spellers, and one side without the letters for more of a challenge!
I choose random, appropriate (3-4 letter, mostly decodable) words to go along with themed units. As we continue to work and learn, I will add cards as I make them! So far, this set includes:
