Teaching Tips for using these Science of Reading Decoding Strategies Bookmarks and Posters:

✅Model each strategy carefully by using think alouds during a shared reading time.

✅Even though the strategies are numbered, do not feel like you have to go in that order

✅OR have to use all of them every single time.

✅Every child is different. Some may need to use one strategy more than another.

What teachers are saying…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I LOVE these strategies and how they align with decoding for reading! They were so easy to print and laminate to have hanging near our reading table. Students love looking for the animals when choosing a strategy!” - Hillary W.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Love this Science of Reading Aligned product to replace the old reading strategies animals you used to see everywhere. This is up in my classroom, and is never coming down!” - Krysta T.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “These are super cute.  I was so happy to find these because I got rid of my old posters a couple years ago but learning strategies attached to animals was something kids seemed to like.  These ones just make so much more sense.  Thank you.” - Paula C.
