I was getting really frustrated not being able to find any posters with decoding strategies that weren't "babyish" and that would be appropriate for my middle school struggling readers, so I decided to create my own "middle school friendly" version.
There are nine posters with decoding strategies included plus a bookmark that you print front and back. On the bookmark, the name of the strategies and pictures are on the front while the "how to" is on the back. I typed it that way to help my students memorize the strategies, and they only look on the back if they have to.
The posters can be printed in a large size or smaller to be used as flash cards for students.
