These PowerPoint Notes cover a basic example of decomposing a solid 3D figure into smaller solid 3D figures in order to find volume.

The presentation is designed to be used to introduce the topic or at the end of a unit to summarize the concepts. The teacher can present the PPT so that the students can take notes, have a class discussion, or both. Slides can be printed for students to put into interactive notebooks as well.

Additionally, this file can be uploaded to Google Classroom as a Google Slides document and viewed on "Present" mode if you would like students to use this individually or even at home for front-loading or summarizing a lesson.

The 12 slides are designed to present the information a bit at a time. They are not 12 unique slides, but rather use animation to add information a piece at a time so that teachers can present the information without overwhelming the students with too much, too quickly.
