Decomposing Numbers Math Center - Common Core Aligned for Pre-K and K - Busy Bees!
This math activity is called “Busy Bees”. It is a number decomposing exercise. Students place bees on the mats to equal their assigned number and then record their answers on the recording sheet. (Student who are not yet writing numbers can represent their answers with drawing dots or other objects.)
An answer key is included. There are two versions to choose from. One cartoonish and the other more realistic. Great for math centers, individual or partner play and individual assessments. For Kindergarten, Pre-K and homeschoolers.

This activity aligns with the Kindergarten Common Core State Standard:
K.OA.A.3 - Decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each decomposition by a drawing or equation.
