This is a FUN math game for decomposing the number 10.
It can be played alone in a center ...or with a partner at Math time.
Needed to Play:
1 number dice
1 Monkey Trouble game board
10 (bananas) yellow unifix cubes (or other counters)
Students will place 10 unifix cubes (bananas) in front of them, along with the game board. The player rolls a number die (that number represents how many bananas the monkey took/stole/ate.) The number of bananas (unifix cubes) that remains is colored on the game board. This is repeated until all numbers have been colored. (This can also be played with a partner)
I also have a storyboard for 5 Little Monkeys available in my TPT store...this is great decomposing math lesson!
