#NewYearNewResources Catch some new math fun this season! Decomposing Penguin is perfect for winter in any primary classroom. This loveable Penguin comes with an assortment of fish and an icy pond. She can catch the fish with her flippers to practice building numbers up to 120! I use this as part of my morning number routine, but she is also perfect for small group instruction and centers.
You will get one colorful penguin and multiple sets of fish for ones, tens, and addends of ten to build numbers to 120. This set also includes 27 printables to practice decomposing numbers, addition, subtraction, fact families through 10, and place value for teen numbers and place value to 100. There are pages with given whole numbers and blank pages for students to build their own numbers. I like to slide these printables into a dry erase sleeve so little ones can build numbers again and again at math centers.
You will also receive a black and white version of the Penguin and all of the fish. Your learners can decorate their penguins and fish to build numbers at school or at home. You can also assemble the Penguin and printable to make an adorable craftivity. This interactive activity is a perfect way to add some winter fun to your math plans!
