An activity created by Jessica Smith to target expanding Holiday vocabulary!
*The Expanding Expression Tool (© Sara Smith) is necessary to utilize these activities.*
Page 3: Christmas Trees with EET Ornaments. Cut and laminate enough trees and sets of ornaments for each student. As they use the EET to describe holiday vocabulary, they earn ornaments for their tree until they have one of each color.
Pages 4-7: Holiday vocabulary picture cards (32 total)
Page 8: EET spinner. Cut laminate and assemble spinner. Students take turns choosing a holiday vocabulary card and spinning the spinner to identify which EET bead they will use to describe vocabulary word.
Page 9: Writing/Coloring EET companion. Students choose one vocabulary card and describe it using EET. As they identify each bead, they color an ornament that color on the tree.
Page 10: Print and laminate gameboard. Use a die, hopping frog or other small object to roll/toss. Each player takes a turn tossing the playing piece, and provides information about the item pictured on the spot (ex. What group does a candy cane belong to?).
