Deductive reasoning is a logical process in which a conclusion is based on the concordance of multiple premises that are generally assumed to be true.
This mini lesson takes the students through the deductive reasoning processes. Students are given a definition then able to see the process working with the three main points of clarifying deductive reasoning:
Students are required to fill in the process for three of the areas. The third, and final area, is a paragraph that students can apply their argumentative skills before completing a persuasive piece.
