BUT WAIT...To help you teach these skills in your room, I have bundled together my five favorite poems for helping 9-10 students work on inference. The 9-10 Poetry Inference Bundle Includes:
Since these poems provide opportunities for students at all levels, I've included several tools to help you reach all learners. Each poem features
As a bundle *bonus*, I have included 8 synthesis writing prompts! The last three poems feature similar situations and symbols, so they provide a great opportunity for synthesis thinking. Along with the writing prompts, you will find an easy-to-use constructed response rubric.
If you were to purchase each item individually, you'd spend $15. But with the bundle, you'll save three dollars, which is like getting one of these resources for free!
This pairs perfectly with the 11-12 Inference Poetry Bundle, which focuses more heavily on deliberate ambiguity, imperfect resolution, syntax, and shifting point of view. Check out the poems it includes:
SAVE MORE! Get both the 9-10 and 11-12 Poetry Inference Bundles for one great price! All together, this bundle provides 10 poems, 22 synthesis prompts, and 100+ pages!
