Six! is a dice game that can be used to review virtually any topic! It keeps students engaged and allows them to demonstrate their knowledge while competing against their friends in a fun way. You will need a double-sided copy of the worksheet for each student, enough dice to have one for each group of 3-4 students, and one pencil per group. Including set-up and corrections, this game takes about 20 minutes.
This version of Six! practices definite, indefinite, and possessive articles for "my" in French. Each section contains 9 nouns missing their article. Students take turns rolling the dice and when they get a 6, they steal the pencil to fill in the answers for as many blanks as possible before the next person to get a 6 takes the pencil. The reverse side of the worksheet has a space for students to earn possible bonus points for listing French-speaking countries. After time is up, you can review the correct answers on a SmartBoard with the attached answer key. Make a list on a whiteboard with the French-speaking countries students have come up with.
Feel free to alter the vocabulary or grammar topics used to meet your needs. There is an attached page of instructions to assist you and your students in making the most out of this fun review game.
