The Instructional Power Point(PDF also) is a 23 slide presentation over dissecting the definition of a parabola, "The set of all points equal distant from a fixed point and a fixed line."

Assignment #1 is a separate Power Point(PDF also) on 1 page for easy printing. Parts of it is under the Preview Section. It is a 21 question assignment. 12 problems are matching the parts of a parabola(vertex, focus, directrix, focal length, axis of symmetry and focal width). There are 9 questions that gives a length such as "p" and the student has to figure another length such as "4p".


Assignment #2 is another Power Point (PDF also). It is on 1 page for easy printing. This is a 20 question multiple choice assignment where the student has to identify the parts of a parabola and the lengths of the parts given a graph.
